Latest 'Conan: Exiles' Update: Maybe We'll Get It Right The 28th Time?

Conan: Exiles has only been out for four months in early access on Steam and already the game is receiving its 27th update. If you do the math, that's one or two updates per week. The game is already plagued with dozens of bugs, poor servers, connection issues, and the rampant destruction by other players that just take away the fun. Does it seem all that surprising the game has required this many updates and fixes to the gameplay to keep people happy and interested?

According to developer Funcom, the latest update "takes aim at giving players more options to defend themselves, including shielding their bases from the towering and destructive avatars of the gods–a feature request popular among players. The update also introduces drawbridges, siege cauldrons, crenelated walls, explosive orbs, and elevators."

So while this latest update for Conan: Exiles offers some new mechanics, tools, and structures, it doesn't really do anything for the two major complaints people have been complaining about and still haven't seen addressed successfully: connectivity and bugs. And keep in mind, the company is till planning a full release in the first quarter of 2018 to Xbox One and PS4. Maybe #28 will have something on the back end for the servers at least? We can only hope.
