Ocelot Joins Playable Cast Of 'Metal Gear Solid 5' In Next Update

Now you can live out your wildest Ocelot fantasies, as the next update to Metal Gear Solid 5 will make him a playable character. The addition comes with a few little caveats that will probably disappoint some of you: you won't be able to change how he looks, and you'll only be able to play him in FOB missions. But there are still some things to love about your loner gunslinger.

First off, he's a dual weapon-holder, as he'll have a pistol in each hand with the TORNADO-6, along with a faster reload time than others. His camouflage value is slightly increased, which means his defense value matches the "highest defense value" in the game. So while he isn't some god-tier character for people to play as, he does have some bonuses that offset other Metal Gear Solid 5 characters.

Some of the other updates include new swimsuits, the Wormhole Generator will get a slew of new options and quicker extraction time (along with being harder to destroy), a Megalodon Suit which doesn't have camo but can move faster, and some other minor adjustments that Konami threw in to fix the game. It's a decent update, but it isn't exactly an all-encompassing one. Really the highlight is having Ocelot in the mix.
