'Rainbow Six Siege' Is Getting Some Updates With "Operation Health"

Ubisoft posted this news yesterday, outlining their upcoming plans to extend the life of Rainbow Six Siege, while simultaneously not developing any new content for the game. Ironically named "Operation Health," the developer says this plan is a "hard push toward tech improvements and bug fixes, and it introduces a new three-stage deployment process for updates." Essentially, while there's still a community playing the game, Ubisoft wants to make sure they keep that community and slow down any kind of foreseeable dropoff you usually see in a first-person shooter over time.

The three pillars listed above show what they intend to do as part of their "Year Two Roadmap," in which OH will play a significant part in Season 2. When you boil it all down, the company are going to be doing a bunch of unseen changes that are designed to make you come back and see what's been changed before they move onto Season's 3 and 4 in Hong Kong and South Korea, respectfully. Which, incidentally, have both been pushed back starting in August while Poland has been removed from the year altogether and probably won't make an appearance until 2018.
