Razer Finally Unveils Their Brand New Smartphone
After months of watching tech websites speculate and leak news and give their opinions, we finally have confirmation from Razer that they're releasing a smartphone this month. Simply being called the Razer Smartphone, the device will have the world's first 120Hz Ultramotion Display and the world's first phone featuring Qualcomm QuickCharge 4.0+. The phone will come with 8GB DDR4 RAM, 64GB UFS internal storage and up to 2TB maximum external storage utilizing microSD cards on a 4000 mAh battery. Here's a good look at the design of it.
The Android-powered smartphone will be Razer's first venture into a field that's been dominated by companies like Apple and Samsung. We know for certain that AT&T will be one of the American-based carriers who will be selling the phone when it hits the market on November 17th here and in Europe for $699/£699. Aside from competing in the cell phone market, the device was designed to serve more of a streaming media and gaming audience, as they've tailored the phone to be utilized horizontally for most situations. I myself got to play around with one briefly at PAX West this past September and was mighty impressed by the way it handled and weighed, not to mention the camera and the graphics. This is literally designed to be a gamer's phone. Now we just have to see if gamers are interested in picking one up in a couple weeks.
