Riot Games Quietly Reveals A "Valorant" Gameplay Video

Riot Games did something a little un-Riot Games of themselves by quietly revealing a gameplay trailer for Valorant over the weekend. Despite the fact that the company had access to C2E2 2020 and PAX East 2020 over the weekend, both viable venues for an announcement drop, even if they weren't there, the company chose to stealth release the trailer you see below on Sunday. Barely any social media or hoopla about it, which we're not the only ones who picked up on it or are confused by the move.

In any case, the trailer itself shows off a quick round of how Valorant's 5-v-5 system will work. A lot of people assumed the game would end up looking like a clone of CS:GO, Call of Duty, or Rainbow Six Siege. Instead, it looks like we got a unique variant that shows players picking specific characters, abilities, and weapons to achieve the mission at hand. Which as far as we can see from this is still a dual-objective setup. Enjoy the footage as we wait for Riot Games to release more info. But considering how quietly they released the trailer… who knows when that will be.
