Rumor Mill: Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's Battle Royal Only Supports 60 Players?

The latest rumor to come out of the mill this week involves the Blackout mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and how many can play battle royale. There's an image making the rounds, which you can check out here at Twin Galaxies, that shows someone playing a demo of what appears to be the Blackout mode in the game. Up in the corner, it shows how many players the game mode supports, and it looks like the mode is currently capped at 60 players, leading many to believe that this is the maximum limit to the game.

Rumor Mill: Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's Battle Royal Only Supports 60 Players?

The reason people are raising hell over it is because all of the mainstay battle royale titles currently support 100 players games, and Treyarch claimed this would be a bigger mode compared to them. But to be perfectly honest, we call BS on this rumor. First off, there's no way Treyarch built a player-nerfed version of this as the final. Second, since this must be a demo, it would only make sense they'd put on a player cap to test the system and gradually upgrade it. So we're calling BS on the whole idea because until Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is released to prove it, we say there's no way in hell they'd hype the mode this much just to create an inferior version.
