SEGA Teams With Steve Aoki For A Sonic The Hedgehog Virtual Concert
SEGA revealed today that they have partnered up with musician Steve Aoki to put on a special Sonic The Hedgehog virtual concert. The company has been doing a lot of different things to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the franchise by working with companies and other games to do special crossovers and events. Basically, this is going to be a totally online event in which Aoki will be playing a full set, all of it dedicated to the Blue Blur and his legacy. So don't be entirely surprised if you see a number of songs that both pull from the franchise but are basically remixed of entire game soundtracks, all of which we're betting you'll be able to dance to. We have more details below as well as the official logo for the event, and how you can watch it on November 30th.
Turn up the volume, Sonic fans! As part of the continued celebrations surrounding Sonic the Hedgehog's milestone 30th anniversary, SEGA is teaming up with world class EDM artist, DJ, and producer Steve Aoki, to host a virtual concert event coinciding with Aoki's birthday, November 30th. Set in a digitally created and immersive Sonic Universe, this one-of-a-kind concert will transport audiences to iconic environments like the Green Hill Zone, Chemical Plant and more as they rock out to their favorite Sonic the Hedgehog jams, EDM style. The 60-minute set will feature original songs from Steve Aoki, as well as Aoki remixed versions of fan-favorite Sonic tunes from the 16-bit SEGA Genesis era to today.
Fans can tune into the virtual concert on the Sonic the Hedgehog YouTube and Twitch channels on November 30, 2021 (time TBA). You can find image assets for Steve Aoki here and the Sonic the Hedgehog x Steve Aoki logo attached.
