Spiritwalk Games Needs Your Help Funding Shardbound
It's not uncommon these days to see a brand new game be posted to Kickstarter for funding. What is rare is when the company is ready to give you a version of the game just for supporting them at the lowest level. Why? Because more often than not, the games being advertised on Kickstarter aren't complete in any respect, and sometimes the chances of seeing them come to life is slim. So it's really cool to see Spiritwalk Games offer a pre-Alpha copy of Shardbound for those who contribute at least $10 toward finishing the game.
This Tactical CCG looks impressive just from the images they've provided. The game is primarily a 1v1 PvP system, but they've incorporated interactive Twitch elements that will allow streamers to get audience involvement in the gameplay. The game has been in development for two years, but it looks like it's been worth the wait as the visuals look stunning and the cards themselves seem to play well as a balanced system. It's also cool seeing the variety in factions you can play as that have different mechanics and abilities that have advantages and disadvantages over every other color. When the game is finally released, it will be interesting to see how well it takes off and what kind of tournaments will come from it.
The Kickstarter is already fully funded, but there are still four weeks left to donate. Click here to check out more details on the game and contribute if you'd like to join in the funding and trying out the pre-Alpha build.
