The Eternal Cylinder Receives A New Gameplay Trailer
Today during the Guerrilla Collective Showcase, Good Shepherd Entertainment and independent developer Ace Team released a new gameplay trailer for The Eternal Cylinder. Thew two companies announced they were working on this game back in August 2019, as they were going to present a unique open-world survival adventure title for both the PS4 and Xbox One. But beyond some screenshots and a teaser, we haven't really seen that much form it. Today's gameplay trailer gives players a better understanding of how your creatures will be created, procreate, thrive, and survive to withstand the planet and everything else around that would treat it as prey. The game is also in development for the Epic Games Store, which you can sign up for an open beta right now that is set to arrive later this summer. In the meantime, enjoy the trailer and the new screenshots of the game below.
The Eternal Cylinder puts you in control of a herd of adorable creatures on a surreal alien world where all life must contend with the threat of… the Cylinder, a gargantuan rolling structure of ancient origin which crushes everything in its path! In this massive world with real-time environmental destruction, you'll discover exotic landscapes, outwit and outrun deadly predators, and solve dynamic exploration puzzles and challenges. Your creatures start at the bottom of the food chain but can evolve with dozens of adaptive abilities to overcome obstacles and escape danger. These mutations stack, allowing for a huge variety of emergent skill combos, creature designs and gameplay choices, ensuring no two playthroughs are ever the same.
