The Physical Wii U Version of Axiom Verge is Finally Being Released

It's been a while since being announced, but finally, the physical Wii U version of Axiom Verge will be released by Limited Run Games. The announcement came out this week as the company took over the publishing rights for the Wii U version and are releasing this amazing deluxe package that instantly looks cool as hell. You got a double-sided poster, soundtrack, artbook, and more in one package that will be released on March 29th. But the entire ordeal didn't come without a ton of headaches.

If you'd like to read more on the issue, Dual Shockers has a much more detailed account over the problems between BadLand Games and the publishing rights that Limited Run finally got. But the shorthand version is that BadLand dragged their feet on the contract and failed to meet requirements, eventually taking one of two options over the rights that led to a long legal battle. Tied up in that battle was the fact that BadLand promised a 75% cut of the proceeds would go toward helping creator Thomas Happ's son with Kernicterus, which Daniel Adelman had zero qualms lambasting the company over after dragging the entire ordeal out.

Basically, the entire ordeal is finally over, the game will be released on Wii U, and hopefully, most everyone will be able to move on. Well, maybe not so much Luis Quintans, who is still waiting to get paid from BadLand, according to his Twitter.
