Phoenixx Inc., along with indie game developers Aquastyle and Ankaa Studio, have released an all-new update this week for Touhou Genso Wanderer -Foresight-. The shorthand for Version 1.05 is that it brings in a number of updates for the game to essentially clean things up while also providing a little more content for you to check out. The biggest is a new 99-floor challenge in which you'll have to brave the fights ahead without being able to use items, and you can only use the boosters you snag within all of the floors. Gensokyo's long-dormant water supplies emerge as two 99-floor challenges, Izanagi Old Well and Hakurei Shrine Old Well. Conquer these new dungeons armed only with the skill and knowledge gained throughout the main story: no items are allowed, and performance-boosting bonds between characters are severed upon arrival. Unlock Old Well floors while progressing through the main story, and enter these challenging dungeons to find rare items and powerful magic seals upon completion.
Gensokyo, a region of Japan that merges fantasy and reality, suffers under the torment of a mysterious enemy. Only series protagonist Shrine Maiden Reimu can save the haunted land. With the help of 60+ Touhou heroines, brave randomly generated dungeons, repair Reimu's Shrine, and heal the land! Search for supplies during every run and slay supernatural enemies with a menagerie of melee and magical abilities. Create hundreds of combat builds with right-hand and left-hand weapon combination options, manage stamina levels, and stack XP after every battle. In addition to new dungeon challenges, the v1.05 update features quality-of-life updates like enemy balancing, updated dialogue localization, improved animations, and much more.
