Two Iconic NES Titles Added to Nintendo Switch Online Next Week
This evening has been an interesting night for Nintendo announcements, as two more NES classic titles will come to Nintendo Switch Online. Blaster Master and Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. will both be added to the NES library on January 16th. Blaster Master is a "panic or perish" game where you switch between roaming in a tank and exploring mazes to defeat mutants before they destroy the earth. The game was really innovative for its time and is usually on a lot of people's all-time lists for the NES.
Meanwhile, Zelda II has a strange legacy of its own in several ways. For years thought of as one of the worst games in the series because of how they changed things up from the first, it's since grown a cult following and finally looked upon with the reverence it probably deserved years prior. Plus, if you follow Nintendo's crazy timelines, it was the "last" game in the Zelda timeline as everything up until that point was a prequel or a different timeline. (It was confirmed last year that Breath of the Wild is now the last game in the official timeline.) In any case, it's worth your time to play them both.
