Valve Releases Steam Link for Raspberry Pi Users
Those who have been looking to use Steam Link on a Raspberry Pi, you're in luck, as Valve has made a downloadable app to work with the hardware. The company released the information today with very little fanfare, just a set of instructions on how to download the app and how to apply it to make it work. To be specific, the app can be downloaded free of charge for the Raspberry Pi 3B and 3B+ running Raspbian Stretch, so it's not going to work for every model out there. But it's a nice option for networking your Steam games on a different device.
It's cool to have that kind of an option in case you've been using it as a source for your Steam library as opposed to just storing it on your tower or through a regular SSD storage device. But I can also see how some may shy away from it because it is an added app that people may not use. But if you rely on Steam a lot, it seems like a streamlined option.
