Here Is A Real Interview With A Fictional Final Fantasy Character About Her New Modelling Campaign
A little while ago I wrote a somewhat silly and surreal post about Final Fantasy's XIII's Lightning being chosen as a new model for Louis Vuitton. It was a bit odd, but fun in a kind of way.
Things just got a whole lot weirder though. The Telegraph of all places have just run a real interview with the fictional character, talking about her new campaign. It's quite something. I encourage you to go read the whole thing, because it's weird, but here is one answer she gives when asked what is coming next for her:
I'm currently winding down after a long journey. My days are peaceful; it's what I've always dreamed of. I hope these days last a long time.
But I'm always looking to push myself, to better myself. Sometimes I get the urge to put my life on the line again and test my limits.
One day, not so far in the future, I will be out there again, in a world of strife. But I won't be the same person I was before. I will return to my origins, like a Mobius strip, but it'll be a new me, one who has evolved.
I look forward to the day we meet again.
So yeah. This is odd. Really, quite odd, but I suppose, maybe, these kinds of things won't be that uncommon in the future. In a world with Hatsune Miku, I suppose the idea of Lightning on the runway isn't an impossible leap.
