New Metal Gear Solid V Trailer Takes You Down Memory Lane

I'm actually somewhat of a stranger to Metal Gear Solid. I've played half of the first game, but beyond that, the games just never quite penetrated my playing habits when I was growing up. And yes, I am terrified I'm not going to have the slightest idea what is happening in next month's Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

That is why the nostalgia in this new Japanese trailer is somewhat lost on me, although, I'm sure many of you will be quite affected. This goes through all the previous games showing the progression across the 28 years of history in this franchise. It is in Japanese, but the subtitles are there to help you:

There is a new Hideo Kojima directed trailer coming soon too, and that will hit any day now I'm sure. Hopefully this will tide you over though.
