"Frankie Peanuts" Deck Tech – "Magic: The Gathering"

Today, I'm offering you a Magic: The Gathering decklist you can't refuse. I'm going to try to make the messages behind this Commander deck tech as clear as a horse head at the foot of your bed. Capische?

As an addition to the end-of-month fun we had with Mary O'Kill and her beloved pet Killbots earlier today, today we are covering an elephant of a creature, a mob boss likely second only to Krenko, and one who you'd never question (in fact, only vice-versa should ever be true): Frankie Peanuts.

There are plenty of things that we can do with Frankie Peanuts in this deck. We can force blocks, we can bluff our way out of dire situations, and we can calculate our best plays from the answers to the questions posed. These plays are mostly made possible from a blend of Frankie and other cards in conjunction. Let's get to them in a moment.

The decklist as discussed in this article can be found here. You got that? Good

Notable Inclusions

Alms Collector and Smothering Tithe – We – and by "we," I mean Frankie Peanuts – want quite sorely to stifle any opportunity an opponent can grasp to off Frankie. So, we have our trusty Alms Collector to draw in equal measure with our opponents, and Smothering Tithe to give us reasonable coinage for our nefarious deeds. Bada bing!

Liar's Pendulum – Sometimes we can bluff our opponents into playing our game poorly, like a spoiled bruschetta. This card will allow us to lie our way into good fortune with card draw. Bada boom!

Staying Power – This is literally the card that gives Frankie Peanuts his staying power. With it, our questions must be abided by while both are on the battlefield. A few other interactions exist but this is the only one that should be recognized. Get it? Got it? Good.

Rules Lawyer – Sometimes, a boss has got to lawyer up. Frankie Peanuts, as much as he wouldn't want to admit it, is no exception. He's nobody's fool. So, we have hired the Rules Lawyer to muck up the rules interactions as much as we can. State-based effects? Fuhgeddaboutit!

In Conclusion

If you have beef with Boss Peanuts, you're gonna end up sleeping with the fishes. But if you are in Boss Peanut's good graces, much like any other brilliant member of his borgata, you'll be handsomely rewarded.

So, right now, I am going to make you an offer you can't refuse. Let us know what you think about my absolutely ridiculous Magic: The Gathering deck techs that I've been posting at the end of the past couple of months. Feedback would be greatly appreciated. Ciao for now!
