Report Claims We Could Have Cyberpunk 2077 By The End Of 2016
Cyberpunk 2077 is going to be the next game from CD Projekt RED, the caretakers of The Witcher series. While it was announced in 2013, it's believed the game is quite some way off with the developer having only just completed The Witcher 3. We also heard earlier this year that the developer doesn't expect to release the game until at least 2017.
However, a new report by German site Gamereactor (via Desturctoid) claims that a source close to the company has shared with them that the developer is actually currently aiming for a late 2016 release. That would put the game less than a year away.
Gamereactor are a pretty big site with good contacts, and I'm sure some development was happening alongside The Witcher 3, but the idea of two massive CD Projekt RED games launching in 2015 and 2016 has my skeptical. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see the game, I just…be cautious before getting too excited here.
