Captain Marvel Now Ranks 3rd in Pre-Sales Out of all the Marvel Movies

Tickets for Captain Marvel just went on sale yesterday and it is already breaking records. Deadline is reporting that Fandango is saying that Captain Marvel is the third best selling Marvel movie in pre-sales with only Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War. There were some rumblings on the internet that no one wanted this movie or that no one was excited about it. This seems to prove that not only is there a demand for Captain Marvel but a pretty big one as well.

"We're seeing fantastic advance ticket sales for 'Captain Marvel' because it's a historic film for Marvel Studios, one that fans have been waiting to see for a decade," said Fandango's Erik Davis. "As the studio's first female-driven superhero film, 'Captain Marvel' is a benchmark moment for the genre, for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and for star Brie Larson, who will play the most powerful Marvel superhero to date."

Fandango aren't the only ones seeing high ticket sales. Atom Tickets also put out a press release saying that Captain Marvel is also doing extremely well on their platform as well.

Captain Marvel is on pace to shatter Marvel pre-sales records for Atom Tickets. Captain Marvel has already eclipsed other Marvel movies including Deadpool 2, Ant-Man and The Wasp, Black Panther, and Venom in the first 24 hours of pre-sales on Atom Tickets. This is remarkable because the movie's opening is still two months away. And while Avengers: Infinity War still holds the top spot for best 24-hour pre-sales—tickets to the movie went on sale just 42 days before it's opening–it's looking like Captain Marvel could outpace it in terms of overall pre-sales on Atom Tickets.

We're just under three months away from the release of Captain Marvel and people seem excited. It's going to be interesting to see what kind of numbers this movie pulls in its opening weekend.

Summary: Carol Danvers becomes one of the universe's most powerful heroes when Earth is caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races.

Captain Marvel, directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, will also star Brie Larson, Jude Law, Gemma Chan, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Lashana Lynch, Samuel L. Jackson. The film is set for release on March 8th, 2019.
