David F. Sandberg Shares a New TV Spot for Shazam!
There are a lot of big superhero movies coming out in 2019 and the best part about all of them is that they all look very different. The one that has the most different tone is Shazam! which is looking to not only do something different within the DC universe but also within superhero movies. It comes out in April and fans have been in a panic about the fact that there hasn't been a second full trailer yet. Director David F. Sandberg decided to troll fans a bit by posting a new TV spot to his instagram.
Despite being a TV spot this does show off a fair bit of new footage. We get to see an interaction between Shazam and Sivana where Shazam admits that he isn't actually an adult which is kind of a big deal. We see some more superpowers and a first look at Darla Dudley. This movie really does look like a lot of fun and we can hope that DC can get a second hit in six months.
Summary: A boy is given the ability to become an adult superhero in times of need with a single magic word.
Shazam!, directed by David F. Sandberg, stars Zachary Levi, Mark Strong, Grace Fulton, Faithe Herman, Jack Dylan Grazer, and Asher Angel, and will be written by Henry Gayden and Darren Lemke. It will be released on April 5th, 2019.
