Dungeons & Dragons is a development hell project that Hollywood just hasn't been able to get their head around lately. Much like a video game, the thing that makes Dungeons & Dragons unique is the social and interactive element. It's once again talking about the idea of adapting and how you adapt something from an interactive medium to an inactive medium. Last year, we finally got real movement on the project as a really impressive cast filled out, and we got the official title as well, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. We got the chance to see a little footage from the movie during the Paramount Pictures presentation during CinemaCon, and Paramount made the extremely wise decision to come to San Diego Comic-Con and kick off the entire contention with a panel for the upcoming movie. There hasn't been any officially released footage yet, but if there was ever a crowd that could get a film like this some hype, it would be the Hall H crowd of Comic-Con.

We will be liveblogging the Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves panel and many others during the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con weekend. It's unclear whether or not any of the footage from this panel, in particular, will be released to the public. The movie is still quite a ways away, but then again, some studios want to make sure that leaked versions don't get out. Join me for the first liveblog of San Diego Comic-Con as we welcome back the convention season despite the rising COVID numbers. Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, directed by Jonathan Goldstein & John Francis Daley, stars Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Regé-Jean Page, Justice Smith, Sophia Lillis, Chloe Coleman, Daisy Head, and Hugh Grant. It will be released on March 3, 2023.
