EXCLUSIVE Hear Tracks Off The Soundtrack To Horror Film 1BR

1BR is a new horror film from Dark Sky Films following a girl named Sarah, who leaves behind a painful past to follow her dreams in Hollywood. She finds a perfect apartment, only to find out that it may have trapped her in a way that she was trying to escape in the first place. The film hits VOD services on April 24th, and today Bleeding Cool has an exclusive preview of the soundtrack to the movie by Ronen Landa. Landa has previously scored IFC Midnight's At the Devil's Door and IFC's The Pact, which was an enjoyable time if you missed it. 1BR is a big swing for Dark Sky, and to set the mood, check out the music below.

1BR Features a Sentimental Sound

1BR is all about emotions, running away from the past, and being hopeful for what the future may bring. Landa wanted to show that with the music for the film. "I'm excited to share the 1BR score— it reflects months of work alongside director David Marmor to help him tell this hair-raising story.  We dug deep to find emotional themes that could capture the essence of the drama, and set them against instrumental textures concocted with everything from contrabass woodwinds and bowed metal springs to reversed electric guitars.  It was a great opportunity to fuse the experimental and sentimental sides of my work."

The soundtrack to horror film 1BR releases on April 29th.

VOD Horror is Having a Moment

There are so many strong efforts hitting VOD streaming right now on the horror front, and 1BR just might be the best. There is something so simple yet intriguing about the "small fish in a big pond" story of people moving to Hollywood for a big break. Throw a little mystery and spookiness in there, and you have a recipe for success in my book. 1BR starring Nicole Brydon Bloom, Giles Matthey, Taylor Nichols, Alan Blumenfeld, Celeste Sully, Susan Davis, Clayton Hoff, and Earnestine Phillips hits VOD streaming on April 24th. The soundtrack by Ronen Landa releases everywhere you can stream music on April 29th.
