Get Your First Look At Ross Lynch As Jeffrey Dahmer In The Upcoming Adaptation Of "My Friend Dahmer"
Entertainment Weekly has the first photo from the upcoming film My Friend Dahmer, adapting the comic of that same name by cartoonist Derf Backderf, who actually grew up as a childhood friend of the famous serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer. The photo shows actor Ross Lynch, formerly of Disney Channel series Austin & Ally and Disney made-for-TV movie series Teen Beach Movie, looking less like a teen heartthrob and more "hauntingly similar" to the actual teenage Dahmer, according to statements relayed from Beckderf and other childhood friends of the killer by director Marc Meyers.
Backderf's My Friend Dahmer was nominated for an Eisner, Ignatz, Harvey, and Reuben award, but it won an Angoulême Prize in 2012. The movie has reportedly finished filming, but doesn't have a release date set beyond "2017." Anne Heche also stars in the film as Dahmer's mom, while Alex Wolff plays the author.
