Apparently it's a promo for a new HBO series True Detective that I'd been previously unaware of, starring Woody Harrelson and Matthw McConaughey that seems somewhere between Twin Peaks and Blair Witch. The website www.DarknessBecomesYou.com has pictures of those… things. Devil traps? There's one in this trailer here…

It airs on HBO in the US on January and in the UK on Sky Atlantic in February. And if I had a Sky subscription I'd watch it. But I don't.
