Jude Law Talks About the Differences Between Keeping 'Fantastic Beasts' Secrets and Marvel Secrets
The early screenings for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald have been over all pretty positive so far and the cast is starting to make the the talk show rounds to promote the movie. This time it was Jude Law making the stop at The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and he spoke about meeting J.K. Rowling, the unique position he is in bringing a character to life that has been played by someone else, and the difference between keeping Fantastic Beasts secrets and keeping Captain Marvel secrets.
"I think it might be this British-American difference. With Fantastic Beasts, they're like 'We assume you're not going to give away any of these secrets. And if you do, we're going to tell you not to again and we may quietly kill you.' In Marvel, it's like 'DON'T YOU F***** EVER TELL ANYONE ABOUT THIS.'
Law went on to describe that walking out of his trailer became a huge deal and he had to make sure that he was covered from head to toe at all times.
"There was a guy hired, I promise you, on [the Captain Marvel] set that…they'd say, "Mr. Law, they're ready for you," and you step out in your suit, and he'd go, "Put the cloak on, put the cloak on!! Hide!! Put the hood up!" I mean, everywhere you went. My children visited the set, and they were running in, "Sign the NDAs!! Who are these guys..?!" It was tight"
Colbert also made an attempt to get Law to break and say who he is playing in Captain Marvel but it didn't work. You can watch the full interview below.
