X-Men Star Kelsey Grammer is Very Excited to Play Beast Again

When speaking to Entertainment Tonight about going from being recast to being reintegrated into the current MCU Multiverse era, Grammer says, "I did the role [in X-Men: The Last Stand]… we were in Cannes, it was a big premiere, it was all being celebrated, people were taking a bow and all this nonsense. I thought, 'Well, we finally arrived!' And they came up and said we found this fabulous new direction for the franchise. I thought, 'This is it. I've made it. I'm finally in a franchise movie' — and they said that they were gonna go back in time and Beast was gonna be younger."

Grammer continues, "Then I slowly deduced that I was not included." He then notes that it made the return even sweeter, admitting, "It's a great feather in my cap now to have him come back and have people still be interested in seeing who was arguably the greatest Beast ever." At the very least, it's nice to see that after several years in the business, Grammer still doesn't lack any sense of confidence, but let's not pretend that Nicholas Hoult was a weak link, either. Just saying!
