Article Summary

  • Stream Killers of the Flower Moon on AppleTV+ starting January 12th.
  • Lily Gladstone shines in her role, heralded as the film's highlight.
  • Long runtime hindered box office success, may fare better on streaming.
  • Martin Scorsese's direction and star-studded cast anchor the film.

Heading into the awards season, it really seemed like this was going to be the year that Apple walked away with some Oscar gold. They had two big movies with impressive casts from impressive directors coming out this year. However, at the end of the day, Napoleon didn't make much of an impact one way or another, and the only reason anyone is talking about Killers of the Flower Moon begins with "Lily" and ends with "Gladstone." Which isn't a bad thing, she is the best part of the film, and it is worse when it decides not to focus on her. The movie didn't exactly draw a massive theatrical crowd, and the over three-hour runtime was a bit of a barrier for entry. For those of you who do better with longer movies at home, you'll have the chance to see this film very soon. Today, it was announced that Killers of the Flower Moon would be premiering on AppleTV+ globally on January 12th. So if you're looking for a chance to see Gladstone's amazing performance and everything else that is all right in this film while also having the ability to pause and take a bathroom break if needed, now you have the chance.
