Lauren German And Kevin Alejandro Share Their Favorite Lucifer Scenes
Once an on-screen couple, actress Lauren German who plays Detective Chloe Decker and Kevin Alejandro who plays Detective Dan Espinoza, seem to enjoy working together. Here the two share their favorite scenes from what is said to be Lucifer season 2… I don't recall which episode German's favorite is from and Alejandro's is from episode 208.
German picked an quiet scene with Trixie (Scarlett Estevez) where she is reading the children's book Coraline by Neil Gaiman. This is an nice Easter Egg since Gaiman, along with Sam Keith and Mike Dringenberg, are the creators of the Lucifer character from DC / Vertigo comics.
Alejandro's pick is from an episode called a Trip to Stabby Town, which could be my favorite title of the season. Lucifer (Tom Ellis) is looking for Azrael's blade when he discovers that it's part of a series of murders. Basically the blade compels people to anger and murder. After tracking down the blade near the end of the episode, it ends up in the hands of 'Detective Douche' and when Lucifer tries to get it, Dan wants to kill him… because Lucifer ate Dan's pudding from the break room fridge, event though it was labeled. The scene is highly emotional and contains a real sense of danger… yet absolute absurdity over the reason for the conflict. It really is a great scene.
Lucifer returns October 2nd for season 3 on Fox.
