Article Summary

- Marketing materials recycle footage, leaving fans craving new glimpses of Madame Web's powers.
- Director SJ Clarkson leads a star-studded cast for a Valentine's Day 2024 release.
The marketing team at Sony continues to make the strangest decisions regarding Madame Web, but now there is a pattern. It looks like they are recycling some of the same footage we have seen from previous trailers, featurettes, and TV spots already released. Usually, you have to stop watching Sony marketing materials because they release so much that you risk having the entire movie spoiled for you. Of all of the films, for them to hold back, they chose the one where they would have the hardest time convincing people to see it in theaters. We got another featurette for Madame Web today where the words "grounded in reality" are said, which is something that star Dakota Johnson recently said during an interview with Entertainment Weekly as well. The rest of the cast is also saying the usual "you've never seen a superhero movie like this," and the like. Any decent shots of the costumes remain missing in action and we are getting the same shots of Cassandra using her powers as well.
