Margot Robbie Hopes To Film Suicide Squad 2 Next Year

Just because an actor is in a movie doesn't mean they know what is going on even when it comes to movies where they are one of the title characters. Margot Robbie is currently at the Toronto Film Festival promoting her new movie I, Tonya. While she has been doing promotion for that, she did touch on her future with DC and Warner Bros. We just got the announcement that Gavin O'Connor has been brought on to direct Suicide Squad 2 which means we should know more about a release date and when the production is going to start soon. Robbie shared a little light on that timeline.

"I think next year I'll be back in the fishnets wielding a baseball bat. I hope."

That goes along with the other information we know about this movie. Will Smith is currently filming <i<Aladdin so Suicide Squad 2 is likely delayed until that movie is done.

When it comes to the other movies Robbie's Harley Quinn is set to be in such as the Joker/Harley movie or Gotham CIty Sirens she was just as clueless as to what's going on as we are.

"Your guess is as good as mine at this point. I don't know."

None of these movies have release dates so it's also anyone's guess as to when we're going to learn anything substantial about them. If Suicide Squad 2 is shooting for a fall 2018 start date then a mid to late 2019 release is likely. As for the rest of them? Like Robbie our guess is as good as yours.
