Mike Colter Talks About Luke Cage's Relationship With Iron Fist In The Defenders

While we don't know when The Defenders will turn up on Netflix, it isn't expected to be all that long. The TV show is what the Netflix pocket of the MCU has been working towards, with Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and Iron Fist all meeting up to take on an as yet unknown enemy.

One mini-dynamic many people will have their eyes on is the one between Luke Cage and Iron Fist, as the two are linked in the comics especially through Heroes for Hire. Spealing to EW, Mike Colter talked a little bit about that relationship. He said:

He's a young guy. There's an exuberance that Iron Fist comes with that Luke Cage wants to temper a bit. It can't help but have a wisdom-versus-youth quality… Danny comes out like a bull in a china shop in some ways, and I think Luke has seen the world and knows certain things. It's a cool combination that'll work out."

Now, really, if we could get a release date on that…
