Mindless Speculation Over Logan's Added Post-Credit Scene Necessitates Spoiling The End Of Logan
So, we have been told that Logan has had three minutes added to its running time over the version that the press has seen.
And that this will be a mid or post-credit scene by well-connected sources.
But any speculation about what that concerns necessitates spoilers regarding the very end of the movie.
So, you know. Spoiler warning. You really have to have seen the film or not care one way or another to go any further.
Like that.
Okay, so the ending is pretty set up by the film. Thematically, it's where it is heading to and I kinda figured that out about half-way through. The set in the future-ness of it all. Logan's failing healing factor. The idea of getting the New Mutants to the Promised Land of Canada means that the Logan Moses may not get there with them.
And he dies.
And that's where the film leaves him, dead and buried with a very specific gravestone coda that should touch the hardest of hearts.
And what the audience was waiting for, doesn't happen.
But could a post-credit scene give the audience something else? The equivalent of the earth on Superman's coffin beginning to rise? Could the rocks holding Wolverine tremble a little? Could three claws suddenly snikt out of the ground? Could the Wolverine actually come back?
I have no idea. I liked the ending of Logan a lot. But such a scene wouldn't spoil it…
