This feels like a yearly story that we need to write but according to an article on Rawstory article Neo-Nazis are trying to boycott Rogue One: A Star Wars Story because they don't appear to understand that this never works for them.
"(((Star Wars))) Is Anti-White Social Engineering," reads a Reddit post by GenFrancoPepe on the subreddit r/altright. "So basically star wars was SJW propaganda from the beginning?" Another user, stanicpriest13 asked the forum. "Good now I don't feel as bad about not watching the new films. The new films are going to flop big league anyway. You can push the female heroes as much as you like, but even most women don't find it interesting."
Another user decided that this was all the the Jews fault in this lovely follow up.
"This film should be boycotted. Episode 7 was bad enough featuring that retarded storm trooper Negro and another empowered White female in the lead roles," InfoStormer wrote, later adding "It looks as if the Jew run company of Disney is going to pump out as many of these awful multicultural Star Wars films as possible."
This would be hilarious if it weren't so incredibly pointless. Neo-Nazis and misogynists seem to pick a movie or two a year to try and boycott and every single time it fails. They tried this with Mad Max: Fury Road only to draw more attention to the movie. There were a number of comments in posts that said they were going to see Mad Max: Fury Road because if these guys had a problem with it then it must be something worth seeing. They tried to do this again later in the year with Star Wars: The Force Awakens which worked out so well for them that it went on to be one of the biggest movies of all time. Mad Max: Fury Road did extremely well at the box office and ended up on a lot of year end best lists.
I cannot speak on behalf of all Star Wars fans but on behalf of myself, Bleeding Cool, and decent human beings everywhere I can say this without hesitation; we don't want you at Rogue One either.
Your brand of hatred and bigotry is not going to win because, despite my own cynical view on humanity and the current political environment, you are not going to win. You are terrified because the world isn't catering to you anymore. You are terrified because you aren't the center of the universe anymore. You are afraid because you know, deep down, that you're losing.
Neo-Nazis don't want to see Rogue One: A Star Wars Story? I say "good riddance."
