New Bumblebee Clip and Featurette Highlights the Triple Changers
Bumblebee is one of many movies coming out in the next few weeks during the holiday season, and it is really looking like an interesting little project. People have been burned by the Transformers movies in the past, but this might be the time to check out the new entry in the series. Director Travis Knight seems to be bringing an entirely different energy to this movie compared to the five directed by Michael Bay. Paramount Pictures has released a new clip featuring our two triple changers, Shatter and Dropkick — voiced by Angela Bassett and Justin Theroux respectively — approaching John Cena's character as if they are the good guys and Bumblebee is the bad.
We also have a featurette with Knight talking about how he really wanted these two triple changers, the first in the series, to evoke the style of the 1980's.
Are you planning on checking out Bumblebee this month or have you been burned too many times by the previous movies? Let us know in the comments.
Summary: On the run in the year 1987, Bumblebee finds refuge in a junkyard in a small Californian beach town. Charlie, on the cusp of turning 18 and trying to find her place in the world, discovers Bumblebee, battle-scarred and broken.
Bumblebee, directed by Travis Knight, stars Hailee Steinfeld, John Cena, Jorge Lendeborg Jr., Rachel Crow, and Pamela Adlon. It will be released on December 21st.
