New Trailer and Two New Posters for Pixar's "Onward"
When it comes to generating new and interesting movies you can't go wrong with Pixar. The little studio that could went from a little side gig to practically being Disney animation until Frozen came along and basically soft rebooted Disney Animation. Their movies have been consistently good with even the lower end movies, such as the Cars movies, being better than some of the stuff competitors are putting out. These days it seems like Pixar is doing their best when they are working on original material and creating new stories and characters for all of us to fall in love with. The next movie from the studio, one of two for 2020, is another original story. This time Onward follows fantasy creatures in a modern world and two brothers on a task to see their long-dead father one more time. We got the first footage back at D23 and now the Disney UK youtube channel has shared a new trailer.
Over at IMP Awards, Onward got a new poster and a new international poster.
At the moment Pixar isn't marketing the movie a ton but we should expect that to change in the coming weeks. Disney tends to put all of their weight behind one movie at a time and they just released Frozen 2 with Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker right around the corner. When we ring in the year we should expect to hear a whole lot more about Onward.
Set in a suburban fantasy world, two teenage elf brothers embark on a quest to discover if there is still magic out there.
Onward, directed by Dan Scanlon, stars Tom Holland, Chris Pratt, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Octavia Spencer. It will be released on March 6, 2020.
