Respawn Have "Heard The Feedback" About A Campaign In Titanfall 2

I have quite a soft spot for Titanfall. The game is a ton of fun to play and Respawn really laid the ground work to continue the series. We learnt of Titanfall 2's existence recently and I for one am excited to see where it goes next.

One of the main complaints about the first game was its lack of single player campaign. That is a key part of many people's gaming experience so it isn't surprising that there were vocal detractors when the game launched as multiplayer only.

That isn't lost on developer Respawn Entertainment. In an appearance on The EXL Podcast, community manager Abbie Heppe, when regarding a single player campaign in the next game, said:

We've definitely heard the feedback.

That isn't a confirmation of anything obviously, but it does acknoledge the complaint. My gut feeling is that we will be seeing a substantial single player campaign, so take that as you will.

In other areas, Heppe talked a little more about the seqeul saying:

The really nice thing about working on a sequel is we have established the core of what Titanfall is. We have assets, we have an engine, we have all of these things that we laid the foundation for in the first game that now we can really build off of in the second. So I think there's going to be a lot of stuff that people are going to be excited about.

She's not wrong either. People are expecting big things from Titanfall 2. All the groundwork is done and Respawn Entertainment just have to find ways of retaining an online community. I think they can do it. I hope for their sake, they do.
