Time for a Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 spoiler, but it's been months so here we go. One of the deaths of the movie was Yondu (Michael Rooker) sacrificing himself to save Peter Quill's life. One of the people that didn't take this very well was Yondu's fellow Ravager Kraglin (Sean Gunn). ComicBook.com recently sat down with Gunn to talk about Kraglin and how he is going to move forward now that Yondu is gone.
"I think that Kraglin was fiercely loyal to Yondu all the time, and from Kraglin's point of view, he doesn't seem to be as loyal to the Ravagers as the Ravagers have been to him," Gunn said. "But then I think it's through Yondu's selflessness that Kraglin learns where his heart was and it brings things around…You never know where the story is going to go, but I know that Kraglin certainly learned something from Yondu's sacrifice."
One of the after-credit scenes had Kraglin learning how to use Yondu's arrow and now people are wondering if he's going to continue to learn.
"Well, I don't know," Gunn said. "I think one of the fun parts about my job is that once the movie's over, I can step back and just be a fan for a little bit. I don't really know what's going to happen with Kraglin. I know where he is at the end of the movie, just like you do, which is that he's working on making that arrow fly. But who knows where that will end up. I have no idea, really."
Gunn was then asked about the state of the third Guardians movie and when that would begin shooting.
"None of those dates are set in stone, but my guess is that there will be if not a script than at least some sort of sense of where the story is headed… It's going to be a little bit," Gunn said. "Probably another six months or so. I'll have a better clear picture of where the story is going to go for the third movie, but I really don't know at this point. I don't even know if I'm in it. I mean, you really just never know."
Gunn will be doing the motion capture work for Rocket Raccoon in Avengers: Infinity War.
