Sir Patrick Stewart's Next Major Movie Role: Poop Emoji
In what, perhaps more than anything else even including the impending presidency of Donald Trump, most accurately embodies everything that's gone wrong with human civilization, Sony Pictures is producing a movie about emojis, aptly titled The Emoji Movie, set for an August 2017 release. It's sounds like a parody, but we assure you the film is very real. We've already seen a teaser trailer, and a cast (from Wikipedia):
T. J. Miller as Gene, an outsider emoji who can show multiple expressions
Ilana Glazer as Jailbreak, a codebreaker emoji
James Corden as Hi-Five, a hand emoji
Steven Wright as Mel Meh, Gene's emoji father
Rob Riggle as an ice cream emoji
Jennifer Coolidge as Mary Meh, Gene's emoji mother
Jake T. Austin as Alex
And now we have two more additions to that cast:
Yes, you're reading that correctly. Not only will Sir Patrick Stewart be lending his acting talent to the abomination against mankind known as The Emoji Movie, but he'll be doing so as the Poop Emoji.
Still, it's not the worst thing he's ever done. He did, after all, play Professor X in X-Men 3: The Last Stand.
