The Americans' Graham Yost Developing New Wartime Spy Drama For WGN America
Showrunner Graham Yost is sticking with familiar territory as he eyes his next step as FX's Timothy Olyphant Western drama Justified gears up to wrap up its run after six seasons. THR reports Yost, who also oversees the network's Cold War era thriller The Americans, will tackle the spy genre yet again in Avenue of Spies, though this time it will be for WGN America.
This one is about spies during World War II, based on the non-fiction book by Alex Kershaw which isn't even out yet, and follows an American family who joins the French Resistance in Paris:
spying from their home just doors away from the Gestapo headquarters and one of Hitler's most feared SS captains.
Looks like Yost will continue to do what he does best. He also worked on HBO's critically acclaimed wartime miniseries Band of Brothers and The Pacific.
