A new Marvel movie is right around the corner, but so far, Marvel Studios has been holding back and doesn't appear to have spoiled for The Marvels yet. However, if there will be any spoilers, they will be happening sometime in the week or two, so keep that in mind when watching anything that is put out. This one is a look back at Carol Danvers and her place within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It's a featurette, so we get to hear from star Brie Larson as she talks about how much playing Carol has meant to her over the years.
The Marvels is the first time we've seen her in anything other than a supporting role since Captain Marvel back in 2019. While she did make an impact in Avengers: Endgame, she was off doing other things while everyone else was messing with the timeline. We also haven't seen Carol interacting with many other characters in the MCU besides Fury, Talos, and Maria, so seeing her dynamics with Monica and Kamala will be great. I will never understand what this woman did to make so many men on the internet hate her so much.
The Marvels: Summary, Cast List, Release Date
Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel, has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe. When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol's estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau. Together, this unlikely trio must team up and learn to work in concert to save the universe as The Marvels.
