Trailer For The Search, From The Artist Director Michel Hazanavicius

After winning the Best Picture Oscar for a bit of old Hollywood nostalgia for The Artist, French director Michel Hazanavicius goes almost 180 in the opposite direction for his next feature, and we now have the first trailer for The Search, which is in competition at Cannes this week.

Set in 1999 with war-torn Chechnya as its background, The Search once again stars Hazanavicius' Artist leading lady and real-life wife, Berenice Bejo, this time as a NGO worker who takes in an orphan amidst the chaos.

This trailer was put out by Warner Bros France, so there are no English subtitles, though part of the dialogue is in English. But parts of it aren't, so there's some weird language barrier issues here.
