Troy Baker Says Kiefer Sutherland 'Got Dirty' For Metal Gear Solid 5
Troy Baker is probably the most famous voice actor in video games right now. He is in just about everything, and even if you don't know him, if you've played more than a handful of games in the last few years, you will have come across one of his performances.
He is going to be playing the role of Revolver Ocelot in the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, alongside Kiefer Sutherland, who is playing Snake. There was a big hubbub around Sutherland's inclusion in the game, as he replaced fan favorite David Hayter in the role.
Baker has asked for patience though, and promises that Sutherland got down and dirty to commit to the role. At a panel at Indy PopCon via Videogamer, he said:
I love David Hayter, I love David, he's a good dude and he's Snake, but so is Kiefer. And that guy showed up, rolled up his sleeves and got dirty on this game. So reserve judgement until you play it. You only have like two more months left and trust me it'll be worth it.
My big worry about Sutherland is the amount he actually talks in the game. So far from demos and last year's Ground Zeroes, he has not been very chatty. Hopefully they are just saving it for the main game though. Snake is a talkative protagonist. It would be weird if he got quiet all the sudden.
