Wish: Listen To One Minute Of Chris Pine's Villain Song & 4 Images

Disney has released a Booth to Screen featurette for Wish where we see Chris Pine recording King Magnifico's villain song, "This Is The Thanks I Get?!"

It's time for Disney to have another villain that the Disney Villain Nerds absolutely adore, and it seems like King Magnifico from Wish is aiming to do precisely that. He already has that Silver Fox look that everyone loves these days, but he's also voiced by the best Chris, Chris Pine. The directors of Wish have said that they are drawing inspiration from classic Disney movies, and when it comes to the villain, Maleficent was the one they drew on the most. We haven't heard any of his songs yet, just Asha's main song, but today Disney finally released some of our villain songs in the form of a Booth to Screen featurette of Pine recording the song called "This Is The Thanks I Get?!" If this movie manages to hit, this song could do very well–maybe not "We Don't Talk About Bruno" well–but that song was an earworm that was essentially lightning in a bottle that is hard to replicate. We also got four new high-quality images; two feature our Villain King, and the other feature Asha.

Wish: Summary, Cast List, Release Date

Walt Disney Animation Studios' Wish is an all-new musical-comedy welcoming audiences to the magical kingdom of Rosas, where Asha, a sharp-witted idealist, makes a wish so powerful that it is answered by a cosmic force—a little ball of boundless energy called Star. Together, Asha and Star confront a most formidable foe—the ruler of Rosas, King Magnifico—to save her community and prove that when the will of one courageous human connects with the magic of the stars, wondrous things can happen.

Featuring the voices of Academy Award®-winning actor Ariana DeBose as Asha, Chris Pine as Magnifico, and Alan Tudyk as Asha's favorite goat, Valentino, the film is helmed by Oscar®-winning director Chris Buck (Frozen, Frozen 2) and Fawn Veerasunthorn (Raya and the Last Dragon), and produced by Peter Del Vecho (Frozen, Frozen 2) and Juan Pablo Reyes Lancaster Jones (Encanto). Jennifer Lee (Frozen, Frozen 2) executive produces—Lee and Allison Moore (Night Sky, Manhunt) are writers on the project. With original songs by Grammy®-nominated singer/songwriter Julia Michaels and Grammy-winning producer/songwriter/musician Benjamin Rice, plus score by composer Dave Metzger, Wish opens only in theaters on November 22nd, 2023.
