Wonder Woman TV Spot: "The Gods Made The Amazons To Restore Peace To The World"
Spinning out of the new footage that debuted during the show tonite, the Gotham twitter account has posted a new 60-second spot for Wonder Woman. There's a focus in the first part of this on Wonder Woman's origins, something I went into a bit in a recent post about the character's "pre-origins" in the context of World War I (rather than World War II). The notion that "The Gods Made the Amazons to restore peace to the world" is interesting in this context, as it could mean any number of the warrior-goddess that were used as symbols during World War I, or even more interestingly, it could be interpreted as the Angels of Mons legend being woven into Wonder Woman's backstory, as some have theorized.
More on that one another day, but for now, here's another look at Wonder Woman.
