Wrestler Cody Rhodes Is Seeking A Part In Marvel's Inhumans TV Show

codyrhodes5On Friday, pro wrestling star Cody Rhodes will make his debut with Ring of Honor at their Final Battle PPV event at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. Later today, Bleeding Cool has an in-depth interview with Rhodes, talking about ROH, wrestling in general, the prospects of a return to The CW's Arrowverse, and also his love of comics, and in particular The Inhumans. While we wait for the interview to go live, here's a sneak peak at what Rhodes told us when asked about the upcoming Inhumans show from ABC, and whether he was interested in a part in that:

I will fully disclose that I have been actively pursuing a couple of roles, that being one. I now have uprooted, moved to LA, to look into acting more, especially after the Arrow episode and all that. So that would be the world to me if that were to happen. And we're actively looking into it. I'm all about it.

I was really excited when I read that they're excited about Inhumans in general. Taking a chance on that. That's not something the casual comic reader really knows about, so that's really cool.

Plus, Black Bolt is like one of the best characters in all comics. The idea that a simple, spoken word could blow a room up is just… I dig everything that is Black Bolt.

So Cody Rhodes for Black Bolt? Nah. It would be a shame to cover up that beautiful face with a mask, and besides, it's been done already:

Personally, we think Cody would make a great Maximus The Mad:

What do you think?

Check back in about an hour for our full interview with Cody Rhodes, and tune into Ring of Honor's Final Battle on Friday at 8PM to see Rhodes face off against Jay Lethal on a star-studded card. Details on that here.

Jude TerrorAbout Jude Terror

A prophecy once said that in the comic book industry's darkest days, a hero would come to lead the people through a plague of overpriced floppies, incentive variant covers, #1 issue reboots, and super-mega-crossover events. Sadly, that prophecy was wrong. Oh, Jude Terror was right. For ten years. About everything. But nobody listened. And so, Jude Terror has moved on to a more important mission: turning Bleeding Cool into a pro wrestling dirt sheet!
