Yoshiki to Score 'xXx 4', Which Will Star Vin Diesel

Yes, we're getting another Xander Cage XXX film starring Vin Diesel, and we know who's doing the score.

In a press release from The H Collective, it was revealed that prolific Japanese composer and musician Yoshiki will be tackling the score for the 4th installment in the xXx franchise. Titled simply xXx 4 currently, the film will star Vin Diesel as title character Xander Cage, and will feature a theme song with new music written by Yoshiki.

With such titles as Saw IVRepo! The Genetic Opera, and the hit anime series Attack on Titan on his resume, Yoshiki seems like a good fit.

There was also the announcement of a new animated feature coming from The H Collective- Spycies, an action spy comedy produced by Chinese entertainment giant iQiyi. Yoshiki will be working on the theme song and music for the feature which has been animated in France by Lux Populi Production. Spycies will be released in theatres across China on August 8th, 2019.

"Yoshiki is a great friend of ours at THC and we are incredibly proud to be working with such a talent on two movies which are both global in scope," The H Collective CEO Nic Crawley said of the announcement. "Spycies brings together talent from the US, Japan, China and France."

Yoshiki said, "I'm excited to be part of the new xXx film and Spycies; composing the new theme songs and collaborating on the film scores."

xXx 4 is currently in pre-production with casting currently under way. Diesel actually asked fans via his Instagram who they'd like to see join the cast for this film:

Principal photography set to begin later in 2019.
