A "Deadly" Spoiler Rumor About WWE Money in the Bank

With this year's Money in the Bank match taking place at WWE's corporate headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut, with the briefcases suspended above ladders on the roof of the building, a lot of people are wondering whether someone is getting thrown off the roof. Both the men's and women's matches are taking place at the same time, which means there's double the opportunity for someone to be tossed off the top of Titan Towers. Well, if you're interested in spoilers: yes, someone will definitely be thrown off the roof.

In the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer writes, "The promos building the match have been built around teasing somebody being thrown off the roof at Titan Towers. There have been descriptions from people who were aware of the taping of Vince McMahon showing whoever was supposed to go off the top that they had set it up safely and he demonstrated it."

It looks like someone is getting tossed off the roof, but the spot is apparently safe, a fact we can be assured of since the match has already been taped and, as far as we know, no WWE Superstars have fallen to their doom, since that would have presumably made the news. However, with the finale of Dark Side of the Ring featuring the story of Owen Hart's death airing a week from Tuesday, it does seem like poor timing for WWE to do a spot where someone falls off the top of a building. With that said, we have to assume that the spot will not involve the wrestler actually falling. Perhaps they'll be tossed off but hang onto the ledge and pull themselves back up, a high-stakes version of skinning the cat.

Money in the Bank airs on Sunday on the WWE Network. Bleeding Cool will be bringing you live coverage of the event, so if someone plummets to their death, we'll make sure you know right away.
