AEW "All Out": Bleeding Cool's Down-n-Dirty PPV Predictions [OPINION]

It would a righteous understatement to say things haven't exactly been boring for All Elite Wrestling (AEW) since they officially announced their national weekly television deal with TNT. They had a sell-out run of taping dates for the show, only to lose Jon Moxley to a staph infection and nearly lose Fenix to a leg injury for this weekend's PPV All Out. Then came word that the WWE and USA Network had struck a deal to air NXT on Wednesday nights – in direct competion with AEW and starting a few weeks before Kenny Omega, Cody Rhodes, The Young Bucks, and the rest of the AEW roster make their live TNT debut.

AEW all out
All Elite Wrestling

Speaking of All Out… AEW is putting a huge chunk of its "pro-wrestling street cred" on the line tonight, with the much-buzzed-about event. Looking to not only crown its first World Champion and also send a message that it's a serious player in the pro-wrestling business, AEW has lined up an impressive card (even with an unexpected change or two). Since they were kind enough to go to all the trouble, let's take a look at out down-n-dirty predictions for the night:

THE BUY IN: Private Party vs. Angelico And Jack Evans

Handpicked by The Young Bucks, Private Party (Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy) are one of those teams that helps drive home AEW's stated commitment to tag-team wrestling. Combination of high-flying moves and power displays make them "double trouble" – as a team and as individual wrestlers.

THE BUY IN: Casino Battle Royale – Britt Baker, Teal Piper, Ivelisse, Jazz, Nyla Rose, Yuka Sakazaki, Allie, Brandi Rhodes, Big Swole, Sadie Gibbs, Awesome Kong, Shazza McKenzie, and more TBA

(Winner receives shot at AEW Women's World Championship on October 2)

I'm leaning towards Nyla Rose, though Awesome Kong is always a sentimental favorite. Still, wouldn't be surprised if the winner was a name coming from the "TBA" division.

SCU vs. Luchasaurus, Jungle Boy, and Marko Stunt

While I see SCU (Christopher Daniels, Kazarian, and Scorpio Sky) taking the win, Luchasaurus and Jungle Boy will see their fanbase grow dramatically after tonight. See them destined for tag-team gold – feels like they won't be treated as just a comedy act, though their on-screen, outside-the-ring work is strong (especially Luchasaurus).

Riho vs. Hikaru Shida

(Winner receives shot at AEW Women's World Championship on October 2)

With all due respect to Riho? Hikaru Shida has a level of into Darby tensity to her approach that gives her a slight edge in my mind – and her intergender wrestling experience would cater nicely to a potential next run-in with Omega.

Darby Allin vs. Joey Janela vs. Jimmy Havoc

This is a tough one because all three could use the win. I'm giving a slight edge to Darby Allin, as a "thank you" for his match against Cody Rhodes and to give him a secure one in the "win" column. Janela earned some serious props for his Moxley match so he won't be damaged by a well-fought loss. As for Jimmy Havox, it's time to give him a fat "W" – just don't see it happening here.

Best Friends vs. The Dark Order

(Winner receives first round bye in AEW World Tag Team Championship Tournament)

While Best Friends (Chuckie T and Beretta) has one of the best gimmicks and entrance videos in the business, there's a level of discomfort that The Dark Order brings that will secure them the win. Will come down to a numbers game, and possible some masked mistaken identity.

Cody vs. Shawn Spears (with Tully Blanchard)

Can't see how a clean pin would help either wrestler at this point in their program. I see Shawn Spears cheating to win the match – feels like Blanchard pushing for Rhodes to have no more than one person with him during the match is going to come into play. Could also be a great opportunity to intro some new or new-to-AEW faces, too…

LADDER MATCH (AAA TAG TEAM TITLES): Pentagon Jr. and Fenix (c) vs. The Young Bucks

While I'm looking forward to seeing the sweet masks The Young Bucks are going to come out with, I'm giving the "W" to Pentagon Jr. and Fenix. The Young Bucks winning the match doesn't have the impact that Pentagon Jr. and Fenix winning would: elevates their status in  – and AEW's relations with – AAA while also giving them even greater exposure to a mainstream television audience.

Kenny Omega vs. PAC

So we're not sure if "The Bastard" has changed his position regarding taking losses in his indie career yet (or if that was even true), but we're giving PAC the win here because that might possibly be true – and because costing Omega the match would be a great way to have Moxley involved and throw more fuel onto their feud.

AEW WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP (VACANT): Chris Jericho vs. "Hangman" Adam Page

I've gone back-n-forth on this one, because I can see the pros and cons of either man winning. With that said, I'm not sure having veteran wrestler Jericho as the very first AEW champ in the history books sends the right message. I see "Hangman" Adam Page getting the win – with involvement from the outside.

Possibly an individual in a mask and black hoodie? Hmmm…
