The CW Releases Extended Arrowverse 'Suit Up' Video, Now with Black Lightning
Last week we got the Suit-Up video for the Arrowverse, and I wondered if it was this year's version of Superhero Fight Club. Now the CW has released an extended two-minute version that includes more shots, more jokes, and they add in Black Lightning. As much as the network and producers have been saying that it's not connected to the rest of the shows… it's suddenly connected in a the promo.
They work in another super-speed type joke with Barry (Grant Gustin), Kara (Melissa Benoist), and Oliver (Stephen Amell). They're area also more lines for Cisco (Carlos Valdes), Rene (Rick Gonzalez), Ray (Brandon Routh), and Sara (Caity Lotz). But the big reveal is after everyone heads out — there is a side door we look in and see Jefferson (Cress William) charging up to get ready. My guess is this was done because Black Lightning films in Atlanta while the rest of the Arrowverse is in Vancouver.
Supergirl returns on January 15th at 8 p.m ET. The Flash on January 16th at 8 p.m. and will be followed be the premier of Black Lightning at 9 p.m. Arrow returns on January 18th at 9 p.m. The wait for DC's Legends of Tomorrow is a bit longer, with the show returning on February 12th at 8 p.m.
