It's hard to believe that we're almost to the final two episodes of Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Before the epic one-hour finale episode "The Last Day", NBC is putting together the ultimate tribute to the police-themed sitcom to stream on YouTube, yes on September 9th. The trailer features a cut of characters saying "Nine-Nine" to a cover rendition of the Beastie Boys' No Sleep 'Til Brooklyn as the title cards cut to the individualized wording of "No Sleep 'Til Brooklyn Nine-Nine Day".
Brooklyn Nine-Nine: 9/9 Day Trailer Highlights
The shifts to Holt (Andre Braugher) have to announce he's smiling at Amy (Melissa Fumero) and Jake's (Andy Samberg) after-wedding celebration at the bar before it cuts to Jake's announcement at the squad for one of the many annual Jimmy Jab games. It then goes series highlights from Doug (Craig Robinson)-Jake in their jumpsuits, Holt's dance-off, before going to a behind-the-scenes photo shoot with Samberg, Fumero, and Braugher with Cheddar the Corgi. Another announcement is exclusive interviews with the cast featuring highlights of Joe Lo Truglio (Boyle), Stephanie Beatriz (Rosa), Joel McKinnon Miller (Scully), and Samberg.
More highlights are shown with Boyle dancing with a couple of female prisoners in sync to his moves before it cuts away to "EVERYTHING TERRY LOVES" with Terry Jeffords (Terry Crews), "EVERY SLO-MO WALK" that shows the group styling and profiling, "EVERY HEIST" featuring the annual Halloween tradition. Then we see the words "SQAUD UP FOR ONE LAST RIDE" in separate title cards as Fumero declares "We're going out with a bang" with Jake blast off two sex tape references in a single scene and a Rosa eye-roll for good measure. The 99-minute YouTube retrospective and celebration airs when else? On 9/9. The series finale of Brooklyn Nine-Nine airs September 16 on NBC.
