Chris Pine Laments Being A White Guy Named Chris In SNL Opening Monologue

steve-trevor-takes-aim-in-wonder-woman-600x432There are a lot of Chrises starring in genre movies right now. There's a running joke within the Marvel community about the three Chrises, and we're all looking forward to the Chris x 3 (EvansPratt, and Hemsworth) interviews during the press tour for Avengers: Infinity War.

But there's a 4th Chris — and while he's not currently in Marvel movies, Chris Pine has joined the ranks of the genre movie Chrises. Pine dedicated his opening monologue on Saturday Night Live last night to teaching us how to tell apart all these white guys named Chris.

Pine, much like Ryan Reynolds, is a much more compelling actor when he's doing comedy than when he's playing a generic leading man — so he did a pretty good job hosting. He also has a some decent singing chops and dance moves, but that might just be a Chris thing.

Wonder Woman will be released on June 2nd.
